Howdy all. I was just at an auction, and bought a pair of old-looking handcuffs, but now after reading through this forum and findign out about all of the fakes out there, I'm nervous. This was an estate auction, and the auctioner said that the deceased had always told people that these cuffs were from the Civil War era. I'm not so sure....
For those who might be better able to figure this out than I am, I've got a URL to a group of 3 pictures that I hope will shed soem light.
