Guenter: I have the same exact S&W handcuff that your photos show. I have always simply referred to them as a "Model #90 factory variation/error". I agree that the edges appear sharper, and the ratchet feels a little tighter on this pair.
It's a later model #90 version - as indicated by the "indent" being centered over the top of the keyhole (early #90 cuffs had the "indents" way off-center of the keyholes)
