Unidentified adjustable darby-style handcuffs

I bought this pair of adjustable darbies recently. The seller told me these ones came from Germany in the 1930ies, but he was not very sure about this...

There are no visible markings at the cuffs. The screwing key is right hand threaded and does not seem to work with other darby handcuffs of known manufacturers.
The bow's insides have got a surface with a grooved structure. Maybe that should prevent slipping out...

The shape of the swivel could be a hint to identify the manufacturer, too.

I hope that you can help me to identify these handcuffs, their manufacturer and date of production.
