I've just purchased a Tower'd Double Lock leg shackel. One side opens perfectly. The other side works fine as long as the double lock isn't locked. Once it's locked, it's a real bear to get open again. I don't know if it's a problem with wear or the key being too short.
Is there a schematic of th locking mechanism available? Is there a source for keys for this item? Any other suggestions?
There is minor rust and corrosion on it, would it hurt the value to remove this?
