There are several models of the SAF-LOK handcuff ( SAF = Small Arms Factory )The first known model of the SAF-LOK was the two pin tumbler, all chrome model with solid hinge rivet. The cuffs are investment cast stainless steel and the mould for the bow which is embossed MKIV has also been used on what would be considered different models as it changed over the years. Main changes have been the type shape and size of the chain links and a additional pin tumbler making it 3.
( chamber holes noted from underside of lock )

The SAFactory was sold to private owners and is now called ADI, ( Australian Defense Industries.)

The original SAF cuff was a Peerless model 2 copy and stamped with a star and Small Arms Factory.

All models are still in used by police in Australia.
