Ok experts. I just bought this handcuff on Ebay. It is a nice cuff marked W. Dowler. From the shape I think it was made by Frogatt. The cuff came with two metal balls. They fit over the locking arm and effectively make the cuff a bit smaller. The finish on the balls matches the cuff.
I have seen this once before, several years ago on a pair of Hiatt Darby
cuffs. So my question. Does anyone know if these balls were supplied by the
cuff manufacturer or are they purely an add on by the user?
I could easily believe that they are from a plumbling fixture or something similar and have nothing to do with handcuffs.
