Steve, I had to drag out my Jay-Pee products and look them over, and indeed, one pair of the thuumbcuffs do say Japan on them. The other 2 say Spain, and the Jay-Pee handcuffs I have, all 11 pair, are stamped Spain. I am not aware of any Jay-Pee products actually manufactured in Japan, including thier once popular spring lock holster carried by the NYPD for decades. Now I have to wonder who really made these things.. Nontheless, they are very well made items and the single keyhole makes them unique on the market today.
