Thank you Steve for giving some helpful info on my posted question regarding Smith & Wesson leg irons. Now I can go back to the antique dealer that is selling his so-called Smith & Wesson "Model 90" leg irons, and break the bad news. ;)

: Hello,
: Smith and Wesson released thier leg iron design a few years after coming out with the model 100 handcuff. To my knowledge there never was a leg iron in the model 90 configuration. Some more Smith and Wesson restraint trvia...;it may interest many of the collectors here to know that for a very short time in the early 1970's, Smith and Wesson made a thumbcuff. They are very rare and I have only seen two in over 20 years of collecting. Regards, Steve Santini.: I was wondering if someone could shed some light on this about Smith & Wesson Leg Irons. I was in a debat with an "antique dealer" recently, and wanted to know when did Smith & Wesson come out with their first model of leg irons? Secondly, were there any made in the "Model 90 series" design? Any info on this would be very helpful. Thanks!
