Hi: I'm a bit new on here, but I'll give you what little I can advise. My HARVARD leg irons double lock rather intricately, by reversing the key to push a little tab inside the key hole. If the staddard HANDCUFF KEY is used, I find it falls just short of moving the internal parts, so with a standard key I might be able to lock them, but if I manage to double lock them, it is because the Standard HANDCUFF KEY has just partially thrown the internal double lock, and it takes me looking through my spare keys for a slightly longer paddle sticking out from the shaft of the key, to get in there and unlock the double lock, otherwise they won't open nor close any further. Good Luck.
