There are many darby style cuffs on Ebay that i figure all come from India. Some are marked "Civil War", "Alcatraz" or "Yuma Prison" And some actually say they come from India.
Anyway often when they show a key the threaded part looks like it is offset from the bow of the key. The keys for my Hiatts are in-line with the threads centered with the bow.
Is this a trick of the camera? Is there something about the construction of these locks which require the threads to be offset? Is this just shoddy workmanship or a result of the equipment they use to make the keys?
Anyone have a answer out there?
