Hello,
Recently I was able to talk to a woman whose wrist and hand size
seem to be on the small side for ladies. After some conversation
and having finally disclosed my interest in handcuffs she eventually
tried a selection of my Darbies for size.
Even the Lady Darbies of the 60mm x 50mm variety slipped over her wrists!
One could wonder if there are or have been even smaller types of Darbies.
But as I understand that Lady Darbies "60x50" were in use in a particular
women's prison I wonder how they solved the problem there in the case of
being faced with hands too small for such cuffs to remain on the wrists.
Adjustable Darbies were not tried, neither were Indian Darbies "55x45"
and we found that normal (type and size) handcuffs could be closed to
the last notch still leaving some slack but being secure.
Differences in comfort were also noticed right away.
