In my collection is a pair of Indian Darbies (with linked bows) which is also not very well made (those restraints were produced in masses for low wages and sold as souvenirs). My cuffs also have a brass key and brass lock-barrels (I'm not sure what the exact English word is) ... but that's something I recovered when cleaning them - suddenly the rusty layer on some places was gone and brass came forth - so I noticed that the patina was just a faked one.
