Hi again,
first many thanks to Joe for answering my 10 questions below. And yet I have another question: recently I purchased some nice Hiatt Darby 115. The key has a flat top, not an oval top like the older versions of Hiatt Darbies. Nevertheless they are not made from a weaker "pot" metal with a clear melding seam but from good solid steel like the really old ones. They are also not marked "Hiatt" and "England" on the sides but "Hiatt" and "British Made" on the upper and downer part of the bows (no other markings). The swivel is not symmetric but has a bigger and a smaller half like the newest versions. Any idea how old these cuffs could be?
Regards from Germany,
Atame
PS: I generally find it very difficult to determine how old Hiatt Darbys are. Any guiding rules for age measurement?
