Hello Joe,

I have found some information about one of your unknown Swiss nippers (the one shown at the bottom of the nipper gallery) that might be of interest. The nipper was patented in Germany on June 25, 1907, for Ferdinand Hauser from Zürich. Due to the large amount of technical terms I will not be able to translate the whole document, but the short description says about the following: "Handrestraint with two locking-bows that lock automatically with the help of a lever that is pushed against the arm of the restrainee".
