Dear Monica, if the sharp egde is just off the surface, wet&dry or regular fine grain sandpaper should remove it. The best method is to hold the cuff in a vice and using a strip of sand paper about 12 inches (300mm) long, hold either end and moving it backward and forward like you would a saw, run the paper over the corners. If you just keep to the edges, not much plating on the fat surfaces will be removed. Email if this is not clear enough and i will draw a picture for you.
regards
Ian
