: Does anybody know of a device that can be placed around handcuffs like Smith & Wesson's M-100's and locked with a padlock to make them ridged and to also render the keyholes of the cuffs inaccessible? I seem to remember running across something like I described but can't remember where.

I've seen three different models, by three different companies, but nothing for S&W. (Yossie's calls them "transport boxes")

The Hiatt Blue Box is supposedly universal, but it's probably best to stick with Hiatt cuffs. It's available through the Hiatt-Thompson's website (I'm away from my home computer, so I don't have the URLs handy--I'll post them later if nobody beats me to it). The "Blue Box" covers the keyways for added security, but leaves the double-lock buttons accessable. That way, you can make the cuffs rigid before applying them. the Blue Box is also available in a cut-down triangular model.

The American handcuff Co also has a transport box (it's black) which is available through their mail-order catalog and through PX Direct. And Peerless offers a gray and black model, which I've only seen in Orchid's store. Both of these models cover the keyway _and_ the double-locks, so the cuffs need to be fully applied before adding the transport box.

Again, I'll post the links later.

Hope it helps! :)
