Thanks for the comments. I would never have
guessed Poland as the source for the unusual
"ball" swivel Darby.
I have a marked Field backstrap model and the
one I have marked unknown looks similar, but not
identical. My guess was Field and Sons as well.
As for the Maltby. I also agree with your analysis.
"Presentation" is perhaps not the correct word. "Souvenir"
would be better. The important thing is that
it dates this particular model at 1904. The
Maltby's went through many different keyways in
a very short time.
