Mark Lyons was kind enough to send me a copy of the
article in the Antique and Collectables Monthly Newsmagazine
that features him in the "Collector's Spotlight."

The full page article is written by Cheryl S. Cohen and
features a picture of a proud Mark Lyons holding a framed
set of Houdini's leg irons. The leg iron (they look
like Stoltz legirons) were once from the collection
exhibited at the Houdinu Museum in Niagara Falls, Canada
before it burnt down.

Several other nice pictures of items in Mark's collection
are also included, a Pratt combo, an Adams, a set of
McKenzie Mitts, a Tower three-way, a collection of
Darbys and a bilboe. The editors managed to mislabel
the bilboe as a wooden cuff, much to Mark's amusement
I am sure.

The article discusses Mark's background, he owns a Lock and Safe
Service in Carlsbad and is one of the ring leaders of a volunteer
group for the San Diego Sheriff's Department. They have a
museum that features part of Mark's collection.

In Marks interview he discusses other items in his collection including
the McKenzie mitts, the Tower triple, Lilly irons and come alongs. He
also warns beginning collectors of the hazards of fakes.

The article concludes with a mention of Mark's email address and
links to this site, Yossie's site and Stan Willis's site.

Overall it is a very nice article. Congratulations Mark. A very nice article
indeed.

Joe
