Quoting from their company profile.
"American Handcuff Co. was purchased by Tobin Tool and Die
as American Munitions in 1962. American Munitions Co. had
supplied handcuffs to the military from the 1940īs until the
acquisition in 1962 by Tobin."
So the change in name came in 1962. The American
Munitions leg irons are very nice to have. I
would say a nice pair should go for at least $75.
